Tried this and it’s FABULOUS! I’d just recommend watching the time- that’s why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. I cooked mine 6 1/2 hours and it was perfect. I find 100% of recipes I find on the internet want meat cooked to dryness. I always check it every few hours because I work remotely. I added a bit more liquid (a little water and more chicken broth). but I’ll be doing this recipe again. Brava.

Made this for about 20 people. Comments ranged from delicious to amazing to phenomenal! Most were guys (so they would probably say that about anything they didn’t have to make 😂). Tried it with a large pork butt, came out fantastic cooked it at 225 used real red onions everything else the same, minus my own BBQ sauce.

What a great make and freeze meal! And pork shoulder is always so inexpensive. Plus, slow cookers really do make the juiciest pork! I need to unpack my slow cooker and make this asap!
